HISTORIC PROVENANCE The Desk Wimbledon draws inspiration from an exquisite Louis XVI period–style desk (ca. 1900–14) by Mewès and Davis (active London and Paris, from 1900). Characterized  by slender baluster-shaped legs and adorned with details, our vision captures the timeless sophistication of the watercolor over graphite drawing in The Met collection. The influence of the original is evident in our desk's ebony finish and intricate detailing, embodying a legacy of refined artisanship.
