Job description:
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our high-end furniture store. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and upholding store standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for design and luxury retail.

Key responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:
- Ensure a high-end shopping experience for all customers.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and aesthetically pleasing store environment.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.

2. Operational Support
- Assist with financial transactions, including daily cash handling procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.
- Perform administrative tasks with Store Manager such as scheduling, reporting, and record-keeping.
- Contribute to the development and execution of promotional campaigns and events.

3. Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Assist in the ordering and receipt of new inventory.
- Organise and manage stockrooms to ensure seamless operation.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a high-end retail environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle challenging situations and resolve conflicts.
- Flexibility to work in the weekends.
- Knowledge of furniture and interior design trends is an advantage.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, other languages is a plus.
